PLEASE BE ADVISED: In order for us to maintain the utmost safety for our citizens and our employees, we are asking the public to refrain from visiting the station, with the exception of emergencies requiring them to be there. This request is in accordance with guidelines encouraged by the medical community, and we are encouraging citizens to limit unnecessary contact with others wherever they may be.
PLEASE call our department line at (508)539-1480 and follow the prompts for all non-emergency calls (as always) and call 911 in the event of an emergency. If a police response is required from your call, please notify the Dispatcher if there is anyone in your house who is currently sick. Calls for service that are able to be handled over the phone with a Dispatcher or Police Officer will be handled in that manner in an effort to limit in-person contact.
We are also asking the public to not drop off any donations of food or drink for our employees, even though your generosity is much appreciated. We are approaching the Coronavirus situation with an abundance of caution, and we simply cannot take a risk of accepting food or drink without knowing if there is a chance of the passage of germs/viruses.
We thank you for taking the time to read this message, and hope you understand our effort in doing our part in limiting the spread of this virus.
